Our Founders.
We are a husband-and-wife team and the proud owners of Mile East Productions. Together, we bring more than 15 years of experience in event production, marketing, tourism, and business development.
We take great pride in producing high-quality events that exceed expectations. From weddings and intimate celebrations to large conferences, trade shows, concerts, and sporting events, we have worked with gatherings of all shapes and sizes — always with a focus on creativity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
Originally from Ontario, we made the move to Yarmouth, Nova Scotia ten years ago and quickly fell in love with the region and its strong sense of community. Today, we live just outside Yarmouth with our rescue dogs, Cooper and Dover, who are very much part of the Mile East team.

Candice Phibbs
Candice Phibbs is the Co-Founder of Mile East Productions and brings extensive experience in event production, marketing, and operations. She has played a key role in producing a wide range of events across Nova Scotia, from weddings and community festivals to conferences and large-scale public events. Candice is known for her strong attention to detail, creative vision, and ability to bring complex events together seamlessly.

Rick Allwright
Rick Allwright is the Co-Founder of Mile East Productions, specializing in event development, marketing strategy, tourism, and business growth. He has been involved in the creation and production of numerous festivals, sporting events, and major community initiatives throughout Nova Scotia. Rick is passionate about building events that strengthen communities and create lasting economic and cultural impact.
